With St. Aloysius we pray to live lives worthy of the call to be Apostles of Hope, encouraging one another and building one another up through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Parishioners,
Fr. Rene continues to make great strides in his recovery. All of his determination has proven to result in great success towards his goal of returning to his parish. Unfortunately, he is not quite ready to return home yet. Bishop Barres and Fr. Lachlan made the decision to have him moved to St. Catherine’s of Sienna Rehabilitation for additional therapy.
As much as we may miss him, and him us, this additional time away will make him that much stronger when he returns. Visits from his sisters and niece are helping to motivate him and keep his spirits up.
We would like to express our appreciation to Fr. Tom for helping us get through the day and to all of the Priests and Deacons who are giving us their time by celebrating our masses in Fr. Rene’s absence. We thank you, the parishioners, for your patience and understanding as we try to keep everything on track and as normal as possible.
Please continue to keep Fr. Rene in your prayers as he continues to keep you in his.
May God bless you as we enter into this Lenten Season.
Blessings,
The Staff of St. Aloysius

Hello, my name is Bertha del Carpio, Director of St. Aloysius Parish Social Ministry. Our program provides direct assistance to people in need in the Great Neck community. We aim to serve all people, who come seeking our assistance. We are committed to reaching out to them and to all those in need in our community. Together with the St. Vincent de Paul Society we operate an Interfaith Food Pantry in the town of Great Neck. The direct assistance we offer includes food and financial assistance (particularly help with rent, utility bills, health related expenses like doctors or medications). We also provide counseling and support to people going through the often challenging process of obtaining assistance from local, state or federal government sources. The food we are able to give to those in need comes from a variety of sources. Much of it is donated directly by people of our parish and of the Great Neck community; some comes from other agencies such as Long Island Cares and Island Harvest. Some resources are collected in drives sponsored by local schools and temples, and by generous postal workers, firefighters and boy scouts of our community.

Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated.

We recognize that many families in our parish desire to make weekly contributions. However, due to various reasons they are unable to do so.
Due to these circumstances, we encourage you to consider eGiving to ensure your support for our parish remains consistent.
Setting up eGiving through our parish’s online platform, Faith Direct, you can make a meaningful impact on the ministries you care about the most.
Your recurring gifts will sustain our parish throughout the year.
Enrolling in Faith Direct, you will help our staff steward God’s resources by reducing our costs for envelopes & paper, spending less staff time processing cash & checks, and allowing more time for missions and ministries.
Getting started with eGiving is easy. Here are the ways to sign up:
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You. Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly.
I offer you the most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. Amen.
God our Father we come to you in our need to ask your protection against COVID-19 that has disturbed and even claimed lives. We pray that you guide the people tasked to find cures for this disease and to stern its transmission. Protect the medical experts that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted. May they be restored to health soon. Protect those who care for them. Grant eternal rest to those who have died. Give us the grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need. We implore you to save us from the spread of the virus and to save us from our fears. Grant all these through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our petition in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen
Our Lady, Health of the sick, Pray for us. St. Raphael the Archangel, Pray for us. St. Aloysius, Pray for us
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
